As a church we have a great vision to make a positive impact for God’s glory in Edinburgh. Every financial contribution that people make to us goes into making this vision a reality. Here’s an example in the Bible of the apostle Paul inviting people to give into the work of the church:
“…he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed…” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8, NASB)
From these verses we are assured that God’s provision will come into our lives as we make provision for the church. We’re also encouraged to give in a purposeful, considered and cheerful way.
