roots
Roots is a cell group for people who have recently come to faith and want to get to grips with the basics of what Christians believe. We run a 8 week loop of sessions covering topics such as the gospel, grace, baptism, prayer, reading the Bible and worship, the Holy Spirit, the lifestyle of the believer and involvement in church life. There is plenty of space for questions and conversation and this is encouraged; we don't believe in having a blind faith. We realise accepting Jesus as your personal saviour does not mean you suddenly have all the answers. Neither do we. But we’d like to journey with you along the way.
When you are a child growing up your parents hopefully give you the roots of a safe home, loving family, an identity coupled with the encouragement and empowerment to be all you can be. As a born again believer it's important to know that whether or not your biological parents gave you these things, you have them in abundance because you are a child of God. We want you to know God gives you roots.
We will help you find a regular cell group to connect with.
Meets: Mondays, Leith building @ 7pm
